THE
HISSYFITS - an interview with Princess
THEIR CAREER
 We've
been playing out together now for about 3 years in New York City
and various places around the country. We just got back from the
NXNW Music Fest in Portland and we'll be playing Philly and Ohio
in the next few weeks. We hope to make it to Europe someday. We've
got songs on various compilations and have two EPs out--"All Dolled
Up" on Mutant Pop (U.S.) and "Wish You Were Here" on Sounds of Subterrania
(Europe, Australia, Japan). Orchard Records has just released our
CD "Wish", which is a compilation of all of our previously released
songs, but we're anxious to record a full-length album in the near
future.
PEOPLE WHO HAVE SUPPORTED THEM
Wow--there's so many. A lot of great people at Remedial Records,
Mutant Pop, Sounds of Subterrania, Gig Records, The Orchard, Jonathan
Greenfield and Ronnie Spector, and Greil Marcus at Interview Magazine.
We also have a lot of friends like Chuck Scott, John Parthum, Adam
Raybuck, Meredith Ekstedt, Will Taylor, Karl LaRocca, Steven Parrino,
and Pierre Jelenc who have donated their time and efforts to help
us greatly. We're also grateful to the DJs who play our records,
the people who give us great reviews, and the magazines and websites
who have featured us. And we can't forget all the great people who
come out to see us play and buy our records!
ABOUT MP3
We think they are a good way to expose ourselves to listeners, but
we are not ready for them to replace the good old record! We also
have to take into consideration the small percentage of music consumers

GIRL STUFF
We've got kind of a glam-punk look going on, like black leather
and glitter, kind of like our music, combining hard and soft things
at the same time. We love to go all out for a show--if I could,
I would dress like KISS every day! There's 3 of us, so we all have
different interests and hobbies. Fon-Lin, our bassist, is really
into art; P-Girl, our drummer is studying Anthropology with an emphasis
on Women's Issues; I'm really into the music and taking care of
business in the hopes that someday we will be able to tour around
the world!
