DEBBY SCHWARTZ

HER CAREER

Debby SchwartzI am in gestation-mode in my career right now. I am writing songs and am just getting ready to get the musicians together to work them out more fully, you know, slowly working my way towards the studio. After that, I guess I either start playing out a lot again or burning CD's to sell, or both.

PEOPLE WHO HAVE SUPPORTED HER

a. The Aquanettas
b. Joan Osborne
c. Everyone who worked on my CD "Wrongs of Passage" (see musician's list and Liner Notes) especially James Mastro (Producer) who really helped get things together
d. Joe McGinty/Loser's Lounge

ABOUT MP3

I like the MP3 thing. Even though I didn't get a huge response (mostly because I have not been updating my page the way I'm supposed to), I got a response from a guy in Russia! That was pretty cool. He did promise to send me a russian army t-shirt in exchange for a CD however, and I have not received my t-shirt yet. I am afraid his tardiness/unresponsiveness will negatively impact his rating on E-Bay...

On my MP3 page I have "Venus Again" and, um, the other one ("Misanthropic Man", that's it) but I am about to get that web page up finally (thank you Ruth Eichmiller) and then we'll see about getting more downloads together.

ABOUT RECORD LABELS

Labels are for clothing.

SOME GIRL STUFF

I shop at thrift stores, and then only when my shoes and clothing are falling off my body from fiber-rot, because I get used to wearing the same things all the time and I am stubborn about letting them go. I also like those clothing tables they set up on the street. You can get good deals on socks and underwear.

I used to get a lot of makeup from my mother and my sister and then I had so much that I could not use it all, and gave it to the homeless ladies at Mary House (on E. 3rd Street, a few doors down from the Hell's Angels). Used to send my clothes there, too. That gravy train has long since departed the station of my life, however, but happily I discovered Manic Panic (the original glitter/glam make-up! Support Tish & Snookey!! Hit their web page!!!) and whatever make-up I can buy off the tables on Columbus Circle. But mostly I spend my money on books and CD's and at the healthfood store (on pills, not food, my eating habits are erratic at the best of times).

Oh, and I'm around a size 8 dress, size 8-8 1/2 shoe, C-cup, blah blah blah...
